Who You Are
The role of the Business Development Executive is to source and develop new business within the Southern African regions that AURA operates in.
As a Business Development Executive, you must be an exceptionally talented sales expert who possesses fantastic sales ability and business development experience. You will be responsible for developing and managing the necessary sales strategies, consistently achieving sales targets, and managing all sales processes and flows for the deals and industries that you are responsible for.
To achieve success in this role, you need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, business-to-business sales experience, the ability to clearly understand commercial pricing structures, and have a real go-getter, positive attitude! This role is for someone that loves to consistently succeed, won’t take no for an answer, and thrive in a high-performance environment.
The Business Development Executive will report to the General Manager and be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
What You’ll Do:
Hunt for new business
Develop proposals that speak to the customers wants, needs, and
Manage an ongoing sales pipeline
Generate your own leads while working on leads generated by the
Foster and build relationships with key decision makers
Manage and report on sales activities
Understand and building pricing models
Collaborate with management on Sales goals, planning and forecasting
- Maintain short and long term business development goals
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development role
Relevant university degree or business-to-business sales experience
Fantastic communication and people skills
Experience selling tech products or on-demand services beneficial
- Proven track record of:
– successfully managing relationships with key
– understanding of complex pricing structures
– achieving sales targets
